What Is a First Class Bit?

One topic. One tutor. Five minutes.

A First Class Bit is a short video lesson — 2 to 5 minutes — that covers one specific JAMB topic. You record it on your phone. Clear explanation. Real teaching. That is it.

Akada's AI Diagnostic identifies exactly which topics each student is weak on. Your Bit is then recommended directly to students who need it. You are not teaching a class of 30 — you are teaching the one student who specifically needs what you know.

Once your Bit is approved and live, you earn from every view. You never have to re-record it. You never have to schedule a class. You just earn.

What Shakeerah looks for

✓Clear audio — students must be able to hear every word
✓Specific topic — one concept per Bit, not a full syllabus lecture
✓JAMB-relevant — must match what actually appears in JAMB exams
✓Your personality — students need to feel taught by a real person
What We Need From You

No studio. No degree required. Just expertise.

🧠

Deep subject knowledge

You must know at least one JAMB subject well enough to explain it clearly to a 17-year-old who has tried and failed to understand it before. That is the bar.

📱

A smartphone with a camera

That is the only equipment required. Good natural light from a window is better than any ring light. Most of the best Bits are recorded at a desk in someone's bedroom.

🎯

The ability to explain simply

You are not writing a textbook. You are talking to one specific student who has one specific gap. Clarity and specificity are the skills we need.

📅

A recording commitment

We agree a schedule with each tutor based on their availability. The minimum commitment is 2 Bits per month. There is no maximum.

✍️

Openness to feedback

Shakeerah reviews every Bit before it goes live. She gives specific written feedback. The ability to take that feedback and improve is essential.

🇳🇬

Nigerian JAMB context

You must understand the JAMB syllabus, past question patterns, and what Nigerian students actually find difficult. Teaching theory is not enough.
